PART 1
Creating the new folders
1. Start your "Eudora".

Right click on the root folder "Eudora". A menu will
pop-up. In the pop-up menu choose "New...".

| 3. A small window called "New Mailbox" will pop-up, with an empty text box. In the text
box type the name you prefer for your folder (for example: "HEPC List").
Make sure that the "Make it a folder" checkbox
is ticked and press "OK" (the new folder will be created as a sub-folder of
"Eudora"). |

| 4. Another similar small window called "New
Mailbox" will pop-up, with an empty text box. In the text
box type the name you prefer for your mailbox (for example: "HEPC
Traffic"). Make sure that the "Make
it a folder" checkbox is not ticked and press "OK" (the new
mailbox will be created within the folder
"HEPC List"). |

| 5. Place the mouse cursor over the "HEPC
List" folder and right click. In the new pop-up
menu click on "New...". |

Posts"). Make sure that the "Make it
a folder" checkbox is not ticked
and press "OK". The new mailbox will be created within the folder
"HEPC List". |
You may want to create a third folder, containing your
private exchanges with the list-members. Just follow the above instructions
(paragraphs 5 and 6) but name the sub-folder "Personal", or anything you like.
PART 2 - Setting up the filters
a) The filter for "HEPC Traffic"

| 1. In the Eudora Menu click on "Tools", and then
in the popping-up menu click on "Filters" |

| 2. In the "Filters" popping-up window press the button
"New"
(lower-left) |
 |
| |
| 3. The "Filters" window will become active |
 |
| |
| 4. In the window box called "Match"
tick all 3 checkboxes, then select "To:" in
the Header pop-down menu |

| 5. Then in the empty text box to the right of "contains"
type "HEPC@hepatitis.org.uk" |
 |
| |
| 6. In the window box called "Action", in the
first pop-down menu (a rather long one) select "Transfer
To" (the second from the bottom). A button with the
label "In" will appear to the right |

| 7. Click on the new "In" button... In the
menu that pops down place the cursor of your mouse over "HEPC
List"... Another menu will pop down, where you must
click on "HEPC Traffic" |
.b) The filter for INFO
 |

1. In the "Filters" pop-up window press the button "New"
(lower-left)

| 2. In the window box called "Match" tick
only the "incoming" checkbox (leave the other
2 un-checked), then select "Subject:" in the
first Header pop-down menu and to the right of "contains"
type "INFO", and finally select "To:"
in the second Header pop-down menu and to the right of "contains"
type "HEPC@hepatitis.org.uk" |

| 3. In the window box called "Action", in the
first pop-down menu (a rather long one) select "Transfer

| 5. Now click on the small square button labeled "X"
situated at the top-right corner of the "Filters" window. A small window,
called EUDORA will appear, asking you "Save changes to
Filters?"... Click on "Yes" |
You are now set to have all the mails coming from HEPC List
transferred automatically, depending on their content, in the
folders "HEPC Traffic" and "INFO Posts".
If you subscribe to other mailing lists you can set up folders and
filters for them too; or you can set up folders and filters for the
persons you are exchanging correspondence with on regular basis.
