A word of caution

The reader is strongly advised to consider Alternative Therapies not as the universal panacea, but rather as a possible complement to the Conventional Medicine, destined to address different needs. It is always a good idea to tell your doctor about any alternative remedies or food supplements you are taking (vitamin A, for instance, can affect the results of the Aspartate aminotransferase - AST - blood test), but it is imperative if you are taking part in a controlled trial, as they could corrupt the result of the study. The opposite is also true: you should tell your alternative therapist about any medicines you are currently taking. Be careful though, there are still around a few unscrupulous people selling useless or even harmful supplements and remedies. Therefore, before embarking on an Alternative Therapy experiment you should  talk to your doctor.

We tried to compile a comprehensive list of links, some of them referring to rather controversial methods. The fact that we placed those links here does not mean that we support or recommend the use of those procedures.
